Debbie Katz moved to Miami as a young adult. There the challenge presented itself to find dresses that were both beautiful to wear and comfortably cool.The budding designer found her “signature fabric”—a cotton gauze of the highest American quality; the Debbie Katz line was born. Today the fabric is still the primary staple in all of Katz’s collections.

Inspired by women all over the world, Katz travels the globe to sustainably source unique materials from Thailand, India, Bali and beyond. She is always seeking to use fair-trade materials and believes in empowering women, especially single mothers, to work.
